Q. What is a visitor's pass?
A. Users can set up Visitor Passes to share your online portfolio or other educational materials with individuals who are not members of LiveText. The visitor's pass is most commonly used to allow school administrators to view a candidates work before an interview.

Q. How can I tell if someone used the visitor's pass?
A. Select the 'Tools' tab at the top of your Dashboard. Next, click on the 'Visitor's Pass' tab. Underneath the Actions field you will see the number of times your shared document has been viewed.

Q. How do I locate the rubric for my assignment?
A. Once you’re logged onto your LiveText account, from the dashboard locate the assignment for which you want the rubric for. Underneath the assignment title, you will see a link labeled ‘Click here for assignment details.’ You will now see a page with the assignment description and method of assessment. Under the method of assessment you will see a document, this is the rubric. Click ‘View’ to see it.
Q. How do I delete a course or section from my LiveText account that I am not enrolled in?
A. You will not be able to delete sections on your own. You will need to e-mail the LiveText lab and ask to be removed from the course. Contact us at: teportfolio.ilstu.edu
Q. Why can't my instructor or I see the Alt Tags on my webpage?
A. If you are using Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome to view your website the Alt Tags will not be visible. Use Internet Explorer to see Alt Tags.
Q. Why can't my instructor open my attachments?
A. Be sure to save all attachments/documents as a lesser version. For example, instead of saving a word document as Word ’07 save it as a Word ’97-’03 document. This will ensure that your instructor can open it on their own computer even if they don’t have the 2007 version.
Q. How do I give my pictures "Alt-Tags" on my Weebly webpage?
A. Once you have inserted your image and are still in the edit version of Weebly (not the published version), you will click on the image and a small toolbar will appear below the Weebly toolbar. Click the ‘Advanced’ button on this small toolbar. This will lead you to a drop down list, where you will click into the ‘Alt Text’ text box to give your image a tag.

Q. How do I create links in my Weebly webpage?
A. First, highlight the text you would like to link to another webpage. Click on the link icon located on the small toolbar that appears below the Weebly toolbar. You will now choose which type of link you would like to create: a page, website, document, or email address. If you are linking to another website, paste the url in the textbox and hit the ‘Save’ button. You must hit ‘Publish’ at the top of your webpage in order for this link to work.
